A famous tourist spot here is the Venuban Vihar which was built by Magadha King Bimbisar. Today it is a deer park and a zoo. There is also a lake here called Kamala Sagar which is a popular picnic spot.

There is no special permit required to enter Tripura. Foreign nationals can register at the office of Superintendent. However, citizens of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan require prior approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
