Taking a potshot at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, former Deputy CM of the state and Leader of the Opposition Ajit Pawar said in the Assembly today that there was a pindrop silence after Eknath Shinde was chosen as the chief minister of Maharashtra and some BJP leaders started crying but no one understood what has happened.
"It was a shocking moment for the whole Maharashtra," said Pawar.
His comments followed the statement given by Fadnavis in which he said that Eknath Shinde, as the leader of Shiv Sena today met the governor and stacked for the chief ministerial post
Further taking a jibe at Maharashtra's new Speaker Rahul Narvekar, Pawar said, Narvekar switched three parties in his political career. He first joined the Shiv Sena, then switched to the NCP before joining the BJP.
