Mumbai: A Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Intelligence Officer, currently under suspension, created a ruckus at the NCB Mumbai Zonal office on Monday. Taking serious note of the incident, senior officials will now be taking further steps to initiate departmental action against the said official.
According to NCB sources, an Intelligence Officer, currently posted in Chennai, visited the agency's Ballard Estate office on Monday. Outside the NCB office building, the official reportedly got involved in an argument and altercation with another NCB staff member.
Official has created a similar disturbance in the past
Soon, the matter came to the attention of senior NCB officials present at the office. The agency then informed the MRA Marg police about the incident in writing and will now be taking further steps to initiate departmental action against the said official.
"The official is under suspension and had caused a similar disturbance in Chennai in the past. He was reportedly drunk at the time of creating a nuisance outside the NCB office," the official said, adding that he was not aware of the purpose of the said official's visit to the NCB Mumbai office.
