The Dadar Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested 43-year-old notorious criminal who was wanted for extortion, robbery and criminal conspiracy charges among others after a dramatic chase. Moreover, when a police team went to apprehend his wife, she attempted to escape and jumped before a running train, but was saved in the nick of time by a police personnel, who too jumped in front of a running train. The cop was then appreciated for being the Real Hero.

A team of Dadar GRP were on the lookout for the notorious criminal Santoshkumar Rampratap Singh alias Bablu Thakur, who had been on the run. They had received a tip-off that he was to have a meeting with another party near Govandi and planned to leave the city via Anand Nagar Toll in Thane. Accordingly, a trap was laid and when Bablu saw the police, he made a run for it. While two policemen were tailing him, they managed to alert the police on the nakabandi points, who smashed Bablu's car window and nabbed him, along with his accomplices after a brief chase.

During the probe, police had called his wife, Rita, numerous times but she always escaped with an excuse. After Bablu's arrest, police were asked to being her for questioning, but she was not at the address given to the police. Based on human intelligence, she was nabbed from Juinagar in Navi Mumbai on May 27 and was being brought to Dadar GRP, when she managed to escape from police clutches and made a run for it.

In a desperate bid to flee, Rita jumped in front of a running train towards Titwala and in a heroic manner, assistant police inspector Arjun Ghanvat jumped behind her to save her. The motorman too slowed the speed of the train and stopped in the nick of time. While Rita escaped with minor injuries, thanks to API Ghanvat's efforts, she was admitted to a hospital. Ghanvat was later appreciated for being 'The Real Hero' in this scenario.
