Thane: The Titwala police on Saturday booked a well-know priest (Baba) for allegedly indulging in black magic in a temple. Four male devotees from Ulhasnagar and Dombivli, in thier complaint, alleged that the Baba sexually harassed them. The accused Baba, identified as Laljit Singh alias Manjumataji, is absconding. The police said Laljit Singh has been booked under relevant sections of Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, and under sections 323, 504,506,508 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Baba has a large number of followers in Kalyan, Thane, Mumbai, Ambernath, Ulhasnagar and Thane rural parts. The four complainants reported the police that Baba indulged in magic and sexual harassment in the temple. The Titwala police rushed to temple and seized many material used for black magic.
