TITLE: Non Stop Dhamaal

DIRECTOR: Irshad Khan

CAST: Asrani, Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Georgia Andriani, and others

WHERE: In theatres near you

RATING: ***

The Bollywood glitz and glamour world is shown as its backdrop in the family entertainer Non Stop Dhamaal. It promises to keep you enjoying bouts of laughter. Annu Kapoor plays the pivotal role of a struggling director who desperately tries his luck to make it up onto the Bollywood horizon along with Manoj Joshi who plays the character of a writer.

Rajpal Yadav is selected to play the male lead in the film ‘Untitled’. Amidst their respective needs, dreams, and challenges, destiny brings them together. As the story unfolds, the film’s journey takes us through tumultuous confusion, emotional moments, and loads of comedy.

New events and idiosyncratic characters join in, creating a non-stop roller-coaster ride of laughter and enjoyment. The nonstop comedy adventure takes the audiences to a different trip. What happens on this trip is unveiled as the curtain falls down slowly and gradually.

Irshad Khan’s direction is just okay. His screenplay graph faces ups and downs at many moments. Comic scenes allure the audiences at many moments but could have added more spice provided it was lapped up with interesting jokes. However, it is a good attempt to bring comedy and thrill depicting the real life struggle of Bollywood professionals all through the film.

Needless to state, Asrani, Annu Kapoor and Manoj Joshi carry the film on their shoulders to the best of their ability with their exuberant performances. Rajpal Yadav copies Shah Rukh Khan’s action lifting his arms wide open but he looked cute while performing the song making it clear that height doesn’t matter to play a hero. The rest of the cast support the intriguing storyline ably with their performances.

A little bit of crispier editing would have uplifted the movie. In the second half, the editing uplifts the movie, especially after suspense is created.

Cinematography is excellent as it shows the livelihood of a common man living in shabby areas. It makes the movie worth a watch, shot in and around natural areas.

The film’s music has nothing to offer. Georgia’s sexy, peppy and foot tapping number will create a buzz for the movie and the masses will enjoy it.

All in all, the film depicts the struggle of filmmakers to get one chance in the conspicuous world of glitz and glamour.
