Sini Shetty, 21, is the new Miss India and is going to represent the country at the 71st Miss World pageant.
Sini is a Karnataka native, a state where ethnicity and ancestry converge. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and is now pursuing CFA. Her happiest place has always been dance. She began dancing at the age of four and completed her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam when she was 14.
Finding inspiration in Priyanka Chopra, Sini says she became the actor’s fan after one of her interviews in which Priyanka said, “Don’t try to squeeze into a glass slipper. Instead, shatter the glass ceiling.”
For Sini, ‘hustle’ is the keyword and with hard work, she is ready to get India another Miss World crown. “I think if you manifest the words hustle, tenacity and hard work, it is
possible to achieve great things,” she shares.
There are many youngsters who aspire to be models and participate in such pageants. Sharing her advice for them, Sini says, “Training, grooming, and dedication are necessary, more than the dedicated schools for modelling.
You also need guidance and mentorship to win the crown but to enter a pageant you need confidence.”
