Ujjain: The statue of Bharat Mata was unveiled by RSS supremo Mohanrao Bhagwat and Sadhvi Ritambhara during a ceremony organised at Mahakaleshwar Bhakt Niwas premises under the aegis of Madhav Seva Nyas, here on Thursday evening.
The three-storeyed Bharat Mata Mandir, which is built on 12 bigha land along with Mahakaleshwar Bhakt Niwas, Saraswati Shishu Mandir and other establishments, is located in the vicinity of Mahakaleshwar Temple. RSS general secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi was prominent among those present. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was conspicuous due to his absence.
In his 30-minute speech, Bhagwat said that if the world wants prosperity, progress and peace, they would have to admit and adopt the Indian doctrine. He added that the storm of global technology cannot stand in front of the knowledge, yoga, spiritualism and religion of India.
Sadhavi Ritambhara said that India cannot become world’s mentor by creating multi-storeyed buildings or earning huge wealth and rather it could become so by emerging as an island of peace.
Guests on the occasion felicitated Padma Shri Arjun Prajapati (Jaipur) and Dilip Bhai Lakhi (Mumbai) for their contribution in building the Bharat Mata Mandir. Girish Bharelao gave the introduction of guests. Vijay Kevliya conducted the proceedings while Pradeep Agrawal proposed a vote of thanks.
