Indore: Youth held with MD drugs worth Rs 9 lakh

DSP (Narcotics) Santosh Hada said that information was received that a person would deliver MD drugs to some person in Dharampuri, on Ujjain Road. After receiving the information, the team reached the place where a suspect was found waiting near a bus stop.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The narcotics wing of the police arrested a youth with MD drugs worth Rs 9 lakh on Tuesday. The accused was waiting to deliver the drugs to some person in the Dharampuri area when he was caught by the officials. Further investigations are underway in the case.

DSP (Narcotics) Santosh Hada said that information was received that a person would deliver MD drugs to some person in Dharampuri, on Ujjain Road. After receiving the information, the team reached the place where a suspect was found waiting near a bus stop. He was caught by the officials and about 90 grams of MD drugs were recovered from there.

The accused was identified as Mohammad Altamas. He came from Ratlam with the drugs to deliver it to some person. He was booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The value of the drugs is about Rs 9 lakh in the international market. The police are gathering information about other people involved in supplying drugs.
