Indore: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) is going to open an online window for accepting applications for medical officers’ posts lying vacant in the department of public health and family welfare. The window will be open till July 23.
Government hospitals in the state will soon get more hands to deal with the Covid-19 situation as the MPPSC is all set to fill 576 posts of medical officers. The notification for 576 vacancies were issued on June 14, two days after the MPPSC completed interviews for filling 727 posts of medical officers which were advertised in February.
The government decided to fill more vacancies after seeing a dearth of hands at the hospitals during the second wave of Covid-19. Out of the 576 vacant posts, 144 are for candidates belonging to the unreserved category. According to the MPPSC, online applications can be submitted from June 24. The last date for online applications is July 23. Candidates will have to submit printouts of applications along with documents till August 5 at the MPPSC office.
The MPPSC will prepare a merit list based on the marks of the applicants. Candidates five times the number of vacancies will be called for interviews. Selection will depend on the marks obtained by the candidates in the interviews. The MPPSC has not declared the date of interview yet. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the interviews, possibly, will be started immediately after the application process is over.
