Indore: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee’s acting president and MLA from Rau constituency Jitu Patwari on Sunday said that their government will legalise the illegal colonies across the state. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Patwari said, “BJP fooled people in the name of legalising colonies but they didn’t. People have given vote to BJP for last 20-30 years over their promise to legalise the colonies but not even provided any basic facilities to them.” Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also announced many a times for the same but nothing came on ground.
Now, Congress will do what has been promised to the people.We will start legalising the colonies from Indore and will take it to the state,” he said. Replying over demolition drive by Indore Municipal Corporation, Patwari announced that no demolition will be done with taking people in confidence. “We will not tolerate any demolition of houses and shops and no acquisition of land from the farmers without any compensation.
We will take people’s opinion first and will not take any step without taking consensus of at least 80 per cent people,” he added. The would be minister in state said, BJP couldn’t change the land acquisition bill made by UPA due to which they asked the state governments to make unnecessary changes. “Indore decided the development of central India and we will prepare a roadmap for the development of the city.
Our priority will be the conservation of lakes and natural resources of the city including Bilawali Lake, Ralamandal, Sirpur Lakes and others,” he said. Replying over contesting Lok Sabha elections, Patwari said, “My decision for contesting Lok Sabha elections will be taken by AICC chief Rahul Gandhi.” Talking about the issue of scarcity of urea, he said that there is no scarcity of urea in the state and CM Kamalnath is talking to the leaders in New Delhi for the same. City will receive two racks of urea by Monday.
