Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court continued the stay on alienating assets of the well-known Sanghi family from the city following a property dispute.
The stay was given by the court during the hearing of an interlocutory application (IA).
In its order, justice Vijay Kumar Shukla said, "As an interim measure, subject to hearing from the other side, it is directed that the respondents shall not alienate the suit property till the next date of hearing."
Sharad Sanghi's younger daughter Jyotsana filed the first appeal in the High Court after her petition was dismissed by the local court.
In her appeal, Jyotsana said that her father’s will is not being followed while distributing the property.
Through his will, Sanghi had divided the movable and immovable properties in Indore and other cities among his daughters.
The assets include all automobile dealerships in Indore, immovable property located in Palasia, land in Badiyakima, immovable property in Bhopal.
The next date for hearing in the case has been set for July 18. The respondents have been asked to file a reply within four weeks.
