Indore Crime: Thieves Flee With Valuables Worth Lakhs From Two Locked Houses

Two suspects were captured in the CCTV installed near the spot and the police claimed that the accused would be arrested soon.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Thieves targeted a locked house and managed to flee with valuables worth lakhs of rupees from there in the Chandan Nagar area, police said on Tuesday. The house owner had gone out of the city at the time of the incident. Two suspects were captured in the CCTV installed near the spot and the police claimed that the accused would be arrested soon.

Additional DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotia said that the incident took place at the house of Ayaz Khan in Green Park Colony. Ayaz had gone to Bhopal for some work while other family members were in Shajapur at the time of the incident. Thieves entered the house after breaking open the lock of the main door and managed to flee with valuables worth lakhs of rupees from the almirah.

One of the neighbours informed the house owner about the incident. After that, the complainant reached the city and found that valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh were stolen. Police examined the CCTVs and found two persons while they were breaking open the lock. Police believed that three persons had come to commit the theft. One of them was on his bike keeping watch while the other two entered the house. Based on the CCTVs, police have started a search for the accused. The CCTVs installed at other locations are also being examined to find the movement of the accused.  

Another theft incident took place in a house in Vyas Nagar under Chandan Nagar police station, on Monday. The victim, Anand Itare, has lodged a complaint with the police that he was out of the city when thieves entered his house through the gate on the terrace and managed to flee with gold and silver ornaments and Rs 20,000 in cash from the almirah. When the complainant came to know about the same, he informed the police. The police investigated the spot and registered a case. The CCTVs of the area are being examined by the police.
