Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Nearly 60 per cent candidates in the state took the Engineering Service Examination, 2021, conducted on Sunday even as the percentage of candidates taking the exam in Indore was around 78 per cent. Similarly, around 78 percent candidates took the Dental Surgeon Examination, 2022, in the state, whereas the percentage in Indore stood above 80.
“The number of candidates taking the exam in Indore was better than that of the state’s figure,” said Ravindra Panchbhai, media coordinator, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. Both the State Engineering Service Exam and Dental Surgeon Exam were held in one session from 12 noon to 3 pm on Sunday.
The exams were held in four cities, including Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
As many as 36,253 candidates had registered for the State Engineering Service Exam which is to be held for filling 466 vacant posts, including 427 posts of civil engineer, 34 posts of electrical engineer and 5 posts of mechanical engineer.
As far as the Dental Surgeon Exam is concerned, a total of 4,508 candidates had registered for the exam to be held for filling 193 vacancies.
A total 93 of centres have been set up for the Engineering Service Exam and 13 centres for the Dental Surgeon Exam.
