A special invitation team (SIT) would look into charges against Alt News founder and fact checker Mohd. Zubair. Besides Delhi cases have been lodged against Zubair in many districts of UP.
The SIT formed by UP government would be headed by Inspector General (IG) Preetinder Singh with DIG Amit Kumar Verma as it's member.
Alt News founder Zubair is in judicial custody for the last more than two weeks. He was arrested on the basis of a tweet made by him long back. A complaint against Zubair was lodged on twitter by an unknown account. Few other cases were also lodged against Zubair in Sitapur, Kheri Lakhimpur, Hathras and Muzaffarnagar districts of UP.
