Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while attending a media conclave slammed BJP said the present government in Maharashtra is ‘unethical’.
“The present government of Maharashtra is undemocratic and illegal. This government will also not run for long. The BJP uses money power and muscle power along with agencies to go against electoral mandates of different states,” said Mamata.
Slamming Union Home Minister Amit Shah for stating that just like Maharashtra they (BJP) will also come to power in Bengal and other states, Mamata said that people of the country will oust BJP democratically.
“2024 election will be between people and BJP. People will democratically oust BJP as people are the last word in democracy. Apart from money, BJP had provided several other things to the miffed Maharashtra MLAs in Assam to convince them,” further mentioned the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also added that she had been a member of several Union Ministries under several governments and also alleged that she had never seen such an ‘undemocratic’ central government as the present BJP government.
In the last two days, the national executive of BJP in Hyderabad raised questions on TMC’s alleged violence and dynastic politics of Banerjee family in Bengal.
Taking further potshots at the saffron camp, Mamata said that through power a person is kept at the top position in the Cricket Control Board.
“When Indira Gandhi was arrested my brothers and sisters along with me protested but Congress didn’t. My entire family is in the party but they do not have posts. Abhishek Banerjee is an elected representative and youth should be given a chance as they are the future,” mentioned Mamata.
Interacting in the media conclave, the Bengal Chief Minister also spoke about several projects which are in the pipeline of her government and also about the developmental schemes started by TMC government which also brought down the unemployment rate in the state even in trying times.
