Mumbai: In its bid to attract domestic tourists from the financial capital of the country, the Odisha Tourism Department organised a roadshow on Friday evening in Mumbai.
Odisha's Minister of Tourism and Odia Language, Literature and Culture, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, was present to address the event. The tourism sector in Odisha, which contributes to at least 13 per cent of the state's GDP, suffered huge loses after Cyclone Fani lashed the state last month.
"Odisha knows how to bounce back," said Panigrahi. The minister further stated that despite the huge catastrophe caused due to the cyclone, the state successfully revived itself and is getting ready for the Rath Yatra Festival on July 4.
