As voting was going on in 11 districts of West UP in the first phase of assembly polls, Prime Minister Modi addressed his first physical campaign rally in Saharanpur.

In minority-dominated Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi raised the issue of Triple Talaq and said that now a majority of Muslim women have been supporting him and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). PM Modi said that it was the BJP government that freed Muslim women from fear of Triple Talaq. He said that now that Muslim women openly support BJP, the opposition parties have become restless. He said that when the Muslim girls started posting small videos praising the BJP government, the so-called contractors of votes got disturbed.

Modi said that Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas is the motto of BJP and it has opened every sector for women. The Muslim girls understand it better as they got rid of the terror of Triple Talaq by the BJP government and can feel secure now. Lambasting at the opposition parties over nepotism he said that for them development means benefitting their own family. Had these people been in power the covid vaccine would have been sold in the mid-way and not reached to people?

Lashing at opposition parties, Modi said that they have connived with the rioters and mafias in Saharanpur. Not only this the opposition parties have fielded a large number of criminals in the west UP elections. He said the people of UP would vote for the party that could put criminals in jail and make the state riot free.

PM Modi said that people must understand the intention of opposition parties, which is annoyed with BJP due to actions taken on criminals. Continuing his attack on the Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alliance, he said it is surprising to see how those cursing rioters have shaken hands with them. Reminding people of the Muzaffarnagar riots, PM said that it was a black spot but what happened in Saharanpur was also heinous where the rioters had political patronage.
