What is ‘Statue of Unity’? All you need to know

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the statue of Vallabhbhai Patel, famously known as Sardar Patel, the first deputy Prime Minister of India today. The statue is situated at Gujarat’s Sadhu Bet island on Narmada River and is touted as the tallest statue in the world. The statue of ‘Iron Man of India’ is also called ‘Statue of Unity’ and it is 182-metre tall. The statue is being built at a cost of Rs 2,389 crore.
