New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday will release commemorative coins to honor the 175th birth anniversary of Tata Group founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.
The coins, which will be of the denominations of Rs 100 and Rs five, will be released by the Prime Minister at his official residence in the national capital.
Jamsetji, considered as the father of modern industry in India, will be the first industrialist to be felicitated by the government in such a manner. The government has so far minted coins in honour of artists, freedom fighters, scientists, institutions and organisations.
