5 lost and forgotten Miss India winners you should know!

They say beauty with brains is a rare combination, but for some ‘luck’ is an equally important factor. Take ‘Miss India’ contest for instance. Though some of the divas have managed to become successful and make their name, while the others who have managed to win the title have always remained forgotten and lost. Here is a list of five lost and forgotten divas you should know about.

Madhu Sapre
Madhu was close to winning the Miss Universe title in 1992 but could not, because she claims she was not proficient in English, she was crowned the second runner-up. Though later, for few years, she went on to become one of the most bold model India has ever seen. Her marriage to Milind Soman made them the sexiest couple in the country but soon they got separated. Today she lives with her husband Italian businessman Gian Maria Emendatori and daughter Indira in Italy.

Tanushree Dutta
Despite a launch with serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ she couldn’t secure her position in Bollywood. She was last seen in Bengali movies. She gradually fell off the Bollywood bandwagon.

Celina Jaitley
The actress has got looks that could kill. But sadly she isn’t blessed with acting genes. After trying her luck in Bollywood with some bit sized roles, she finally decided to say good bye to acting and got married to an hotelier Peter Haag. The couple is blessed with twins.

Diana Hayden
The gorgeous Diana is one of the most charming Miss India winners till date. She won the Miss India title in 1994 and was crowned Miss World title. She is the only Miss World contestant to score a hat-trick at the Miss World contest in 1997 by winning Miss Photogenic, Miss Beachwear and Miss World. She is the third woman after Reita Faria (1966) and Aishwarya Rai (1994) to win the Miss World title. She was last seen in the second season of Big Boss.

Yukta Mookhey
The gorgeous model bagged the Miss World crown in 1999 at the age of 22. She joined the Hindi film industry but was forgotten in no time. She has never been able to establish herself as a successful actress and had a miserable career with handful of forgettable films to her credit. The last time she was in news was after she was granted mutual divorce by the Bombay High Court in 2014.
