She believes in living in the present than regretting the past. Saanvi Talwar of &TV’s popular Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum speaks exclusively with The Free Press Journal about Bollywood, her show and more…

Owing to your mishap in the past you had lost a Bollywood project from a big banner, does that make you feel regretful?

No, I don’t regret. Destiny makes things happen. I am happy working with Balaji’s show. I am happy with my present work.

Are you still getting Bollywood offers?

Yes, I am getting Bollywood offers. They are kind of protagonist roles but I can’t disclose about it.

When an actor gets an opportunity which is worth his / her career but gets surrounded with controversies then should an actor let go such controversies by fearing that he / she may lose that valuable opportunity of the career?

If one is letting go an opportunity for such reasons then it isn’t a clever thing to do instead one should give it back. It depends upon the time; if one’s time is right then one needs to answer back fittingly.

Do you think that the entertainment industry is biased in their critics towards an actor, for an instance, the award functions?

Sometimes the entertainment industry is biased and sometimes they are not but it’s not necessary that such things happen; deserving people do get honoured. If one is acting in films or television then one needs to be a good actor and the person should deserve an award on the basis of his / her acting skills, the way they portray a character and the personality that they carry.

How did you land a role in ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’?

It was purely based on auditions and Ekta maam selected me on the basis of my auditions. In this industry, usually people work with the known faces and there are fewer chances for the freshers here but luckily I got this show being a fresher. Luck is the most important factor in this industry.

What is that one thing you can’t live without?

Sanitizer; because I am a germ phobic (laughs).
