A self-confessed Shah Rukh fan who swears by ‘Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein…’ the BHAAG JOHNNY sweetie ZOA MORANI indulges in a little rapid-fire with PRATISHTHA MALHOTRA.
My fave quote
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win”- Mahatma Gandhi. I think this has stuck with me since school. You know, when Facebook started, this was the first thing that I had put in my quote column. (Laughs). It makes a lot of sense to me in a lot of ways.
On my bedside table
My tamba with water – because I am supposed to have water that cools my system – and my mala as well. I chant alot.
Favourite books
Recently I read this book, Siddhartha which is about Gautam Buddha when he was young. It surely is one of my favourite books. I also read this autobiography by Waheeda Rehman which I really enjoyed. I mean, reading about her life and how she was as a person…Also Marlyn Monroe’s autobiography. Actually I am in this zone where I am enjoying reading these autobiographies.
My comfort food
Potato chips!!!
Best loved dialogue
‘Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain…’ (Laughs)
Fave character
In more recent times, I would say Rani from QUEEN played by Kangana Ranaut. When I was younger, it was Simran from DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE. But I have many, ya… even Karisma Kapoor from DIL TOH PAGAL HAI.
Pet pastime
I love to dance. Recently I have started to enjoy Ashtanga yoga as well. I really love my yoga class. It has changed my life left, right and centre. It makes me feel so good, like some magic has happened in my system. You know, yoga literally changes you as a person in a good way, you start to enjoy your own company and everything seems to become really calm and peaceful.
My 3 am friends
Aastha and Devika. We met in school in the third standard and even though we live in different countries now, we still are best friends.
My hangout
I think the company is more important than a favourite spot. With the right company every place seems fun. But having said that, I love the beach a lot; I just love water!
My sin
I am telling you, my sin is chips (Laughs). I really can abuse it very badly! It’s like emotional eating and I can finish packets of it. Maybe because my father loves it too. Is it in my genes? Hmm!
Dream date
It would be with the one I love at a hill station that has hardly any people…Maybe spending like a weekend at a small little cottage…
My fear
I fear that all the people whom I really love would probably just die on me.
My strength
I am a really strong believer in God. I am quite a drama queen and in the smallest of situations, I’ll cry and stuff. But if the situation is really serious, I don’t know from where I get this courage to be the support system, be it with my family or anyone else. It surely is because I believe in God and pray alot. When I pray, I feel secure.
My fave song
Currently I am loving this song ‘Kinna sona…’ from BHAAG JOHNNY. When I got the film, the song was already there and I’ve loved it from that time. You know, I love songs which are very soulful. It has got lovely lyrics, is about love and that is why I love it so much.
