One of the popular musicians and singers of India, Himesh Reshammiya turns 45 today. The popular singer is known for his catchy songs, engaging music and his swag. Ever since he entered the film industry, he has made many fans for his romantic yet catchy love tracks.
His Aashiq Banaya Aapne song from the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne is still favourite among the masses. Well, Himesh is known for his love songs but his real-life love life has had its share of problems.
Recently, in May 2018, Himesh got married to his girlfriend TV actress, Sonia Kapoor in an intimate ceremony. But do you know, this is Himesh’s second marriage! In fact, Himesh Reshammiya was earlier married to Komal. As per the reports in Bollywood Shaadis, the duo got married in their early 20s in 1995, however, due to compatibility issues they got separated after 22 years in 2017. Reports were also suggesting that the reason behind their divorce was Sonia Kapoor, though they didn’t confirm the reports.
After the divorce, Komal was quoted as published in Bollywood Shaadi, “Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going with this decision to part ways legally but mutual respect will always be there for us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same is with him towards my family. There are compatibility issues in our marriage but we respect each other immensely. Nobody else should be dragged into this matter and nobody else is responsible for this and the reason for our marriage not working is only and only compatibility. Sonia is not responsible for this at all and our son Swaym and our family loves Sonia just like a family member.”
Well, Sonia and Himesh got married on May 11, 2018. Interestingly, post-divorce with Komal, in December 2017, there were reports stating that Himesh and Sonia could get married soon. It was quoted, “As of now, Himesh is tied up with work, but he and Sonia are planning to get married next year. The family likes Sonia a lot.”
Interestingly, Himesh has nicely managed to balance his personal life as his son from Komal, Swayam, is also very close to Sonia. A source had revealed to an online portal, “In fact, Himesh’s son Swayam is very close to Sonia and both are on very good terms. Swayam also visits them regularly”.
Right now, Himesh and Sonia are happily married and have always been posting their lovely pictures on their Instagram account.
