Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has commenced the registration process for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026–27 under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Eligible candidates who have qualified NEET-UG 2026 can register online from August 6.
According to the admission schedule released by the CET Cell, online registration for MBBS and BDS admissions will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on August 12, while candidates can pay the registration fee and upload the required documents until August 13. The admission authority has clarified that registration will be considered complete only after successful payment of the prescribed fee.
Online document verification through scrutiny centres will be conducted between August 7 and August 14. The provisional list of registered candidates and the provisional merit list will be published on August 15, followed by a grievance redressal window on August 16 and 17. The final merit list and seat matrix are scheduled to be released on August 18.
Candidates will be able to submit their online preferences for colleges from August 19 to August 22 (5:30 p.m.), while the CAP Round 1 allotment result will be declared on August 23. Students allotted seats must report to their respective colleges with original documents and the prescribed fees between August 24 and August 28 to confirm admission.
The CET Cell has advised aspirants to carefully read the information brochure before filling out the application form and ensure that all required documents are uploaded within the stipulated timeline. It cautioned that failure to upload mandatory documents may lead to rejection of category claims or cancellation of the application.
The admission authority also clarified that separate registration with the Maharashtra State Competent Authority is mandatory for candidates seeking admission under the State Quota, irrespective of whether they have registered for the All India Quota counselling.
The CET Cell noted that schedules for Group B and Group C health science courses, as well as subsequent counselling rounds for MBBS and BDS admissions, will be announced separately. Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official admission portal for updates regarding the counselling process.
