Reliance Jio is all set to enter in DTH market, so the news is that they have come up with Reliance Jio set-top box. The news is flooded on internet and images of the set-top of box are going viral. There is no official confirmation from the company but the images shown seems to be real.
After giving internet and unlimited calling for almost free for one and become the first company to enrol 100 million subscribers in limited time Reliance Jio has emerged as the top telecom company in India. So the new idea is to enter in digital world of TV and satellite. There are many major players in this field like Airtel, TATA sky, Videocon and DishTV but it seems like Reliance Jio will stand out and will bring some different plans to conquer the market.
The leaked images show blue box with Reliance Jio branding on it. Apart from the front facing USB port the set top box will come with a standard slew of connectivity options such as HDMI and audio-video output. The device is also expected to have an ethernet port.
Information circulating on the Internet also suggests that the JioTV will offer more than 360 channels, of which at least 50 will be in HD. News is also that Reliance Jio set-up box will cost around Rs 450 , first 6 months will be free and then Rs 120 per month and the official announcement can be done tomorrow.
