The third season of the much-anticipated crime drama 'Rangbaaz' is all set to premiere on July 29.
The new season has been titled 'Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Raajneeti', and stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Aakanksha Singh in lead roles.
In the show, Vineet plays a gangster-turned-politician named Haroon Shah Ali Baig, and according to a report in OTTplay, the character is loosely based on late gangster Mohammad Shahabuddin.
The portal stated that a source close to the development informed it that Vineet will be seen stepping into the shoes of Shahabuddin, who was accused of killing 15 Communist Party activists, and was also serving a life sentence for abducting hote Lal Gupta of CPIML Liberation.
Shahabuddin died of COVID-19 in 2021.
Meanwhile, 'Rangbaaz 3' charts Haroon Shah Ali Baig's rise from a small town in Bihar to becoming one of the most powerful and influential men.
The show has been majorly shot in Uttar Pradesh and is filled with drama, politics, corruption, crime and power-games.
