Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal recently shot for the promo of Hera Pheri 3 at Firoz Nadiadwala's Empire Studio in Mumbai earlier this week. The first picture from the shoot of the film's announcement promo had also gone viral.
Now, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has revealed in one of his interviews that the film will go on floors in May 2023 and they will shoot the film in Mumbai and several other international locations.
Paresh Rawal hints at Hera Pheri 3 plot
On reuniting with co-stars Akshay and Suniel, Paresh Rawal said that it felt like 'ghar wapsi'. He told Mid-Day that it's always fun to shoot with them as they have mutual respect. "Meeting them felt like ghar wapsi. It’s always a joy shooting with Akshay and Suniel. They are talented actors who are not insecure about their work. We have mutual respect. Our off-screen camaraderie reflects in our on-screen chemistry," he said.
Hinting at the plot of the film, Paresh Rawal said, "Hera Pheri 3 will be shot in international locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Los Angeles, as Babu Bhaiyya, Raju and Shyam go abroad. They’ll do hera pheri globally."
A few months back, it was reported that Akshay had left the franchise after the film's producer and he could not reach a common ground. Following Akshay's exit, Kartik Aaryan was brought into the film - a development which was confirmed by Paresh Rawal on Twitter.
However, the film's producer Firoz Nadiadwala re-initiated the conversations with Akshay and he agreed that his character of Raju is what makes the 'Hera Pheri' franchise special along with his fellow actors Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The differences between the producer and the actor were majorly because of the script as Akshay wanted nothing but the best for the franchise.
Directed by Priyadarshan, 'Hera Pheri' was released in 2000. It featured Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu in the lead roles. The second part, which came out in 2006, was directed by the late Neeraj Vora. It featured Akshay, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav, and Rimi Sen in the lead roles.
