Refrains from targeting govt; blames cops instead
BHOPAL: The state government might be feeling relieved after the successful holding of both ‘ Pooja’ and ‘ Namaz’ on the day of Basant Panchami in Bhojshala, but in a latest development, Industries minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has come out in open demanding inquiry into the role of police in the caning of Hindu protesters.
Vijayvargiya, on Monday, while interacting with journalists, at state Assembly said officers took decision in haste which has created resentment among Hindu as well as Muslim communities. He said canning Hindu activists was improper which must be investigated.
Vijayvargiya said chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan assigned the responsibility of Bhojshala to the administration but the officers did not carry their job well. He said ‘ Rajdharma’ was followed but ‘ Samajdharma’ was not.
Vijayvargiya was of the view that he had faced a similar situation in 2006 when he was in- charge minister of Dhar and after deliberations with both the communities; the situation was dealt with in an amicable way. He said in- charge minister Mahendra Hardia, will give report to chief minister of the incident.
Vijayvargiya said it is highly intolerable that officers who were assigned the task to deal with the situation, failed to do so.
This pro- Hindu government thrashes Hindus: Singh L eader of opposition Ajay Singh, in a satirical tone, said the state government, which terms itself to be pro- Hindu, allowed the cane charge. Singh said state government failed to comply with the court order and this had angered both the communities. Vijayvargiya
