BHOPAL: Water supply in several areas of the city will be affected for two days from Tuesday due to maintenance work in Kolar pipeline.
On Tuesday, the water supply to Chandbad, Nariyalkheda, JP Nagar, PGBT, Quazi camp, Shahjahanabad, Pinjomal tank, Teela Jamapura, Balo Vihar, Ibrahimganj, Arif nagar, Congress Nagar and Shanti Nagar will remain suspended.
Similarly, on Wednesday water supply will remain suspended in Arera Colony (E-1 to E-5), Railway Colony, 1100 Quarters, Janata Quarters, Meera Nagar, Char Imli, Panchsheel Nagar, Platinum Plaza, Shastri Nagar, Jawahar Bal Udyan old bus stand, Bal Vihar, Station Bajaria, Nehru Nagar, Kotra, Bagheera Apartment, Southy TT Nagar, 228 Quarters, Ambedkar Nagar, 25 Battalion, Geetanjali Complex, Sanjay Complex, Shahpura A, B and C Sectors, E-7 Extension, Gaura Gaon, Sewania Gond, Bishankhedi, Shahpura Chawani, Nadeem Road, Lakherapura and nearby areas.
Nearly one third of the city gets water supply from Kolar pipeline. This old pipeline is being replaced and due to delayed process, water supply is done from the old pipeline only. This for the seventh time this year the water supply has been suspended from Kolar.
