Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Dr Sunil Kumar has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (RGPV), for the second term. Raj Bhawan issued the orders in this regard on Thursday.
First tenure of Sunil Kumar was about to end on June 21. His appointment for second tenure is for four years.
Speaking about his priorities for the second term, Kumar said that his first priority is to get A + grade in NAAC for the university which is due in 2022. We have one year’s time for the preparation, he said.
Working on New Education Policy 2020, the RGPV is working on multi entry and multi exit for various subjects in various courses. We are working hard on multi-disciplinary approach in the courses here.
We have to strengthen the RGPV in terms of numbers of students, courses and self-reliance. We have already setup a Startup Cell but want to strengthen it to an extent that the students from Madhya Pradesh do not require to leave the state for better employment opportunities, said VC Sunil Kumar.
