Bhopal: Sports minister inspects Tatya Tope stadium

Bhopal: MP Sports and Youth Welfare and Higher Education Minister, Jeetu Patwari inspected of Tatya Tope stadium on Thursday morning. He reached stadium and sought information regarding the hostel facilities and different sports academies from the players.

Expressing his resentment on the cleanliness at the boy’s hostel, he ordered the supervisor to maintain the cleanliness within 15 days. He also instructed the officials to take steps for re-inviting the tender for cleaning work. He met the girl athletes at their hostel and asked them about their diet, housing, and other sporting facilities. Department of sports and youth welfare director SL Thaosen, was also present on the occasion.

Patwari said that the machines available for cleaning bed sheets, clothes, pillows of more than 400 athletes residing in the hostels are not sufficient and gave an order to increase the number of employees and washing machines. Patwari also went to the boxing arena and motivated the young boxers to train hard and refine their talent. He assured the athletes that no efforts would be left spared in providing the best facilities to them.
