Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) National President Asaduddin Owaisi will campaign in the urban body elections of the state. AIMIM is in the fray in seven municipal corporations of the state which include Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa and Ratlam.
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has reacted to the decision of Owaisi. Mishra has said that Owaisi is welcomed in the state. The people of Madhya Pradesh know very well how Owaisi practices the politics of division. The public has made up its mind to make BJP win in the elections.
“Now whether Owaisi comes or Kejriwal. Votes of Congress will be affected. Congress votes are not left in the state then why are they worrying,” Mishra added.
Nevertheless, Owaisi will campaign in support of candidates of his party in state capital Bhopal on June 28. He will reach Jahangirabad, Bagh Farhat and 80 feet road locality of the city. An alert has been made regarding the security arrangements in view of Owaisi's election meetings in the city.
On the other hand the Congress is expressing happiness over the Panchayat elections and is making claims of victory for the pro-Congress workers in the Panchayat polls. Mishra reacted to it and challenged that the panchayat elections were without a symbol. So, the Congress could create confusion. Their wish would be fulfilled in the voting on July 6, where elections would be held with symbols.
