BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the governmentís target is to vaccinate one million people on June 21.

The Chief Minister made the statement at a video conference in Mantralay on Friday when he reviewed the situation arising out of the corona pandemic and arrangements for vaccination.

He said efforts would be made to vaccinate one million people daily.

If that is done, 100% people above 18 years will be vaccinated by October-November, he said.

He also said that one should get vaccinated and should encourage others to get the jabs.

If everyone above 18 years of age is vaccinated, the third wave will have minimum impact on the state, Chouhan added.

The weekly positivity rate has declined below 1% in all 52 districts of the state.

More than 05% cases have been reported from four districts. There are 24 cases from Bhopal, 21 from Indore, nine from Jabalpur and five from Ujjain.

The number of positive patients is 2,272. Nearly 0.2% positivity rate was reported on Friday when 71,421 people were tested.
