BHOPAL: A post sent by a 2014-batch IAS officer Lokesh Kumar Jangid to Whatsapp group of the IAS Association has kicked up a row.

Jangid has sought deputation to Maharashtra because of some family problems.

He has written to the Whatsapp group that collector Shivraj Singh Verma was not able to make dough.

For that reason, Verma did backbiting to the Chief Minister against him.

The collector belongs to the Kirar community. His wife is the secretary of the Kirar Mahasabha and the Chief Ministerís wife is its president.

According to Jangidís post, he will write a book after retirement about what he has seen during his tenure as an IAS officer. He cannot do it now, because the code of conduct has tied his hands.

President of the IAS Association ICP Keshari has written to the group that Jangidí's post has nothing to do with being bold.

Jangid has made allegations against one of his colleagues and his family members. His post lacks decency, Keshari wrote.

Keshari advised Jangid to delete all his posts and to keep away from all such things.

Jangid, however, refused to delete the posts. After that, secretary of the IAS Association Vishesh Gadpale removed Jangid from the group.

Jangid has been transferred eight times during four and a half years of field posting.

The chief secretary has written to the secretary of DOPT through Madhyam of MP for Jangidís deputation to Maharashtra.

In the letter, Jangid has written that his grandfather is ill, and that when he was seven-year-old he lost his father, and his mother who brought him up also needs him.

He is shifted in every six months

Lokesh Jangid cannot stay at one place for more than six months. He has been transferred eight times during his four and a half years of service.

He worked as sub-divisional magistrate in Vijaypur, Shahdol, additional secretary (revenue), chief executive officer of Harda district Panchayat, additional collector of Guna, additional mission director in state education department, additional collector in Barwani and again as additional mission director of state education department.

Angry about shifting from Barwani

Lokesh Jangid is angry about his shifting from Barwani. Earlier, when he was posted as sub-divisional magistrate of Shahdol he had a dispute. As a result of that, he was shifted from there.

Maan ki Baat with close group: Jangid

Lokesh Jangid says that the IAS Association is a close group and that he has tried to convey his feelings the way a man speaks to his family members. He has, however, refused to say anything about the chat contents. According to him, transferring an officer is the governmentís prerogative.

It is good for the officer concerned, as well as, for the government if an officer gets time to work at one place, he says.

He says he wants to go to Maharashtra for some family problems. An application given to the chief secretary will be sent to DPOT through the latter, he said.
