Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): State medical education minister Vishvas Sarang on Monday announced to start vaccination for pregnant women in the state soon.
While talking to journalists at his residence here, Sarang said a training programme for medical staff to vaccinate pregnant women was held in the state on Monday.
“It is very important to counsel pregnant women before vaccination. It will be ensured by medical staff that every pregnant woman gets vaccinated as per her wish. The studies done by experts so far suggest that Covid-19 vaccine is a security cover for pregnant women,” Sarang said.
Notably, vaccination in many districts of the state was closed on Monday. “As medical staff was busy in training programme, vaccination could not be held at many centres. It will be resumed as per scheduled vaccination programme,” Sarang said
