Rinku Singh himself claimed that his father, Khanchandra Singh continues to deliver LPG Cylinders despite his success in IPL and international cricket
Team India's batter Rinku Singh has emerged as one of the rising talents ever since making his debut in Indian jersey last year. The 23-year-old was first shot to fame with his incredible performances in the last IPL season, where he emerged as highest run-getter for Kolkata Knight Riders with 474 runs in 14 matches.
However, Rinku Singh's rise to the top was full of struggles and hardships as he come from humble family in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He used to help his father, Khanchandra Singh to deliver LPG cylinders. Despite Rinku's early success in his career, his father continues to deliver cylinders.
This can be evidenced by the recent video that went viral on social media, where Rinku Singh's father can be seen distributing LPG cylinder in his hometown of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Rinku Singh himself claimed that his father continues to deliver LPG cylinders despite he requested him to take rest.
“I told my father to relax now as we have enough for him not to haul cylinders, but he still does it and loves his job. I understand his part also because he will get bored if he sits at home. If someone has worked all his life, it is difficult to tell him to stop unless he wants it.” Rinku said.

After successful IPL 2024, Rinku Singh received his maiden international call-up for T20I series against Ireland in August 2023. He played his first match Team India against Ireland, scoring a quickfire 38 before being dismissed in the final ball of the innings in the second match.
Rinku Singh was part of India ODI squad for South Africa tour last year. He made his ODI debut against Proteas in December 2023, wherein he scored 17 runs and picked a wicket of Rassie van dur Dussen in the series opener.
In January, Rinku Singh formed an unbeaten 190-run partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma in a T20I against Afghanistan, which is an Indian record in the shortest format of the game.
Rinku Singh has been performing well in T20Is, aggregating 356 runs, including two fifties, at an average of 89 in 15 matches.
