Video: Soccer Player Does 'Donald Trump Dance' After Scoring Goal In CONCACAF Nations League

The CONCACAF Nations League fixture between USMNT and Jamaica saw Christian Pulisic score a goal and celebrate it by performing the 'Trump dance'. A video of the same has gone viral on social media as Weston McKennie and Ricardo Pepi also joined him in the celebration bid, with Pulistic later explaining the reason behind doing it.

Pulisic joined a handful of athletes, who have been getting behind the trend in recent times. Las Vegas Raiders' Rookie tight end Brock Bowers performed the step after scoring a touchdown during Sunday's fixture. Nevertheless, Boweers said it was inspired by UFC Fighter Jon Jones, who did it during UFC 309 at the Madison Square Garden.

Addressing his decision to perform the dance, the 26-year-old stressed that he didn't do it out of any political influence and that it only seemed funny due to which he did it. As quoted by Goal.com, he stated:

"I saw everyone doing it yesterday in the NFL, I saw Jon Jones do it, and we were just having a bit of fun. I thought it was a pretty fun dance. Obviously, that's the 'Trump Dance' but it was just a dance that everyone was doing. He's the one who created it, and I thought it was funny. It's not a political dance. It was just for fun. I saw a bunch of people do it and thought it was funny, so I enjoyed it."

Meanwhile, Pulisic has been in sensational form for both his club and country, netting four goals across three matches since Mauricio Pochettin took charge as USA's coach.

While the youngster missed the trip to Mexico, he made a crucial assist to Yunus Musah in the victory over Panama. With 35 goals, Pulisic is now fourth in all-time behind Jozy Altidore, Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey.
