Video: Cristiano Ronaldo Saved By Security Personnel As Notorious Fan Tries To Jump On The Field After Euro 2024 Game

Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo had a friendly fan encounter in the previous UEFA Euro 2024 game, but it was not the case on Wednesday night at the Arena AufSchalke, Gelsenkirchen. While Ronaldo was leaving the arena, a notorious fan tried to seemingly jump on the field facility, but security personnel got in the way. A video of the incident has been doing rounds on social media.

The incident captured on camera, witnessed the fan jumping flat and might have hurt himself in the process. One of the security personnel walking with Ronaldo got in the harm's way to protect the footballer from being hurt.

Meanwhile, Portugal lost 2-0 against Georgia as Ronaldo failed to score in a major international competition for the first-time ever. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze were the scorers for Georgia, thereby helping them securing a memorable win. According to Goal.com, the 38-year-old had also been booked for dissent.

The loss didn't affect Portugal as they are on top of Group F with 2 wins and a defeat and have qualified for Round 16. They will lock horns with Slovenia in the Round of 16 on July 1st. Spain, Georgia, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Belgium, Romania, Netherlands, Australia, Turkiye, England, Slovakia, Switzerland and Italy have already qualified for the next round.
