Ishan Kishan Shares Cryptic Post On Social Media Amid Speculations On His Absence From Indian Team

Indian keeper-batter Ishan Kishan shared a cryptic post on his official handle on X (formerly Twitter) amid widespread speculation regarding his absence from the team for the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan. The video posted by Kishan shows the youngster sitting in a cross-legged meditative posture while performing some breathing exercises.

The Jharkhand keeper-batter opted out of the Test series against South Africa due to personal reasons, but made himself available for the T20I series against Afghanistan and instead chose Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma as the wicket-keeping options. Nevertheless, the BCCI was reportedly miffed with Kishan travelling to Dubai to party.

The 25-year-old was reportedly spotted with his friends in Dubai instead of returning home to Ranchi when the BCCI granted him a break.

"He told the team management that he has mental fatigue because he had been on the road continuously and wanted to spend time with his family back home. Instead, he chose to travel to Dubai and was seen partying," a source as quoted by The Indian Express stated.

Ishan Kishan likely to feature in IPL 2024:

Nevertheless, Kishan will most likely feature in IPL 2024 as the marquee tournament will serve as the selection criteria for the T20 World Cup, starting on June 1st in the West Indies and USA. He is also one of the first-choice players for the Mumbai Indians.

The left-handed batter has mustered 2324 runs in 91 IPL matches, striking at 134.26 with 15 half-centuries.
