IND vs ENG, 3rd Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal Blasts Century Off 122 Balls As India's Lead Crosses 250 On Day 3
Yashasvi Jaiswal cracked a belligerent hundred on day 3 to put India in the driver's seat in the 3rd Test against England.
Indian young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal launched a stunning assault on England after tea on day 3 of the 3rd Test at the Niranjan Shah in Rajkot, completing his century in 122 balls. It is also Jaiswal's 2nd century of the series as India's lead continue to grow after England lost their last 8 wickets for only 95 runs.
Jaiswal was the silent partner amid Rohit Sharma's aggressive start; however, he opened up after the Indian captain's departure. The left-hander brought up his half-century off 77 deliveries and carted James Anderson for 19 runs an over at one stage. The youngster reached the magical three-figure mark off 122 deliveries with a boundary through the covers off Mark Wood's bowling.
Jaiswal peeled off a double-hundred against the Englishmen in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test in Vishakhapatnam that eventually resulted in a winning total of 396.
India bowl England out for 319 on 3rd morning:
After a lacklustre show with the ball on day 2, the home side were magnificent with the same and field placings. England had reached 224-2, but lost their last 8 wickets for only 95 runs, with Ben Duckett managing to add only 20 runs more to his overnight total of 133.
Despite Ravichandran Ashwin missing from their bowling unit, the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah stood up. Siraj finished as the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.
