Pune News: Prime Accused In Former Jejuri Corporator's Murder Arrested
The incident unfolded as Pansare was tragically murdered over a land dispute on Friday.
The Pune police crime branch made a significant breakthrough in the murder case of former corporator Maheboob Syed Lal Pansare in Jejuri on Sunday. Two individuals, identified as Vanesh Prahlad Pardeshi and Mahadev alias Kaka Pardeshi, residents of Dhalewadi in Jejuri, have been apprehended in connection with the brutal killing.
The incident unfolded as Pansare was tragically murdered over a land dispute on Friday. Acting on the directives of Pune Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, the crime branch conducted an extensive operation, including area searches, crime prevention patrols, checkpoints, and thorough investigations across Pune.
The Jejuri police station had registered a case under IPC Sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with a deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in the prosecution of common object), 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
