BMC takes note of tweet showing bad condition of road in Bhandup
"Bad condition of the road dividing Bhandup Mumbai municipal ward 115-116 Partial road work. Negligence of municipal department officials. Sir please do the work otherwise take action against the officials," tweeted a user. The BMC took note and replied, "Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We have conveyed your complaint to the concerned @mybmcWardS department. The complaint will be resolved by following up with the concerned authorities.
9 Dead In Rain Related Incidents In City After Onset Of Monsoon
A total of 9 people have died in rain related incident in the city so far. Two people lost their lives after getting swept into a manhole. Four people were killed due to a building collapse and three people lost their lives due to different incidents of treefall.

1 dead, 1 injured after tree falls in Byculla
One person died, another was injured after a tree fell in Byculla in the wee hours of Thursday, June 29. Two men aged about 18 years and 25 years were rescued by firemen and taken to JJ Hospital. Rehman Khan, 22, was declared brought dead and Rizvan Khan, 20, is undergoing treatment and is stable. The incident took place near Indu Oil Mill Compound, behind Byculla police station, Hansraj Lane, Byculla (E).

Heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in 6 districts in Maharashtra
The Met department on Wednesday evening forecast heavy to very heavy rains in six districts of Maharashtra, issuing an `orange alert'. It issued an orange alert for the districts of Thane, Raigad, Palghar (all three adjoining Mumbai), Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Nashik, indicating the likelihood of heavy to very rainfall at a few places, reported PTI.
Yellow Alert For Mumbai And Neighbouring Districts
Heavy rainfall is expected over parts of Konkan and adjoining ghat areas for 3-4 days. Mumbai has been given a yellow alert for the next 24 hours and heavy rain is expected in the next 4-5 hours. Palghar, Thane, Ratnagiri and Raigad, too, have been issued a yellow alert for the next 48 hours by the weather department. According to the BMC, the city recorded 31.72 mm rain – while the eastern suburbs received 84.40 mm rain, the western suburbs had received 83.02 mm till 8 pm on June 28.
