MP: Father-Daughter Dead, 2 Others Critical After Speeding Car Rams Them In Neemuch

The family has accused the village sarpanch of killing them.

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): A father-daughter died in a horrifying car accident while two others were seriously injured in Neemuch district on Wednesday night, police said.

The incident was reported at around 8 pm on Wednesday at Tikhi Rundi village near Ramnagar falls under Jeeran Police Station limit.

Those who were killed includes, Pattubai, 40, wife of Narayan Nath and Karan, 24, son of Amarnath, while Rodu Nath, 60, and his wife Pawanbai, 53 were seriously injured.

Local villagers accused sarpanch of behind the incident. Meanwhile, local police registered case into the matter and began investigation.

Locals claimed that quartets were roaming in the village, when a car first crashed into them and later dragged them to distance. Before, villagers could chase a car driver, he flee the spot leading Pattubai died on the spot, while Karan, and two others who were seriously injured immediately taken to the district hospital. Doctors there referred Karan to Udaipur and he was died on the way.

After the incident, Neemuch SP Amit Tolani reached the district hospital and discussed it with the family members. The officer also visited the spot to take stock of the situation prevailing there.

In the entire incident, the family members allege that the village sarpanch, Sukhlal Nath, carried out this incident. He first hit them with his car and later ran over them.

Police station in-charge Girish Kumar Jejulkar informed that the villagers were heading towards their place at around 8 pm, when a car crushed them. Who is driving the car is yet to ascertain as we are searching for car.

Jejulkar added that old family dispute among sarpanch and deceased came to fore and we are investigating the matter considering all the angles.

At present, the bodies of both the deceased have been kept in Neemuch District Hospital for the post-mortem.
