Indore: Work on MR-10 ISBT to get completed by December 2022
Only 60 percent of the work has got completed, so far, within three years and only 50 percent of the funds have been provided for the development to the agency by the IDA.
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore Development Authority’s Inter-State Bus Terminus at MR 10, which was decided to be completed by June 22, has now got delayed by six months. Only 60 per cent of the work has got completed, so far, within three years and only 50 per cent of the funds have been provided for the development to the agency by the IDA.
The project started in September 2019. It got affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic and work remained suspended during the pandemic for a few months. After that, the work started at end-2020 and the IDA officials made claims that the work would get completed by June 2022.
IDA officials said that the work of the project was going on. Only 40 per cent of the work is remaining, which is majorly of PVC, building electrification and others.
According to the officials, the work is now expected to be completed by the end of this year. However, only 50 per cent of the payment has been released and the remaining amount of the project is yet to be disbursed.
Assistant engineer, IDA, Rajesh Mahajan said the construction work of the ISBT was going on at a good pace. “If there are no more interruptions, we can complete the project at the beginning of the New Year 2023 or by end-2022,” he claimed.
The project has been designed on the lines of the ‘green building’ concept under which it will consist of solar panels and solar streetlights.
