Sonam Kapoor reveals why she never fasts for husband Anand Ahuja on Karwa Chauth

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor's residence in Mumbai sees one of the biggest Karwa Chauth gatherings of B-Town every year, thanks to her mom Sunita Kapoor. However, the actress reveals that even though she loves dressing up for the festival and meeting people, she does not fast for her husband Anand Ahuja.

Sonam took to her Instagram handle to share pictures from Karwa Chauth celebrations this year at the Kapoor house and the actress looked drop-dead gorgeous in a green and pink saree.

She paired her outfit with jewellery borrowed from her mommy dearest.

"My Husband isn’t a fan of Karava Chauth as he thinks fasting should only be intermittent 😂 so I’ve never kept it! But both of us are big believers that festivals and traditions are a great reason for family and friends to come together," she wrote in the caption.

She added, "I love that my mom loves celebrating it and I love being a part of it and dressing up. @kapoor.sunita you always throw the best dos! Your energy and generosity is legendary and I hope to follow the same path! Happy KC everyone!"

As soon as she dropped the photos, Anand jumped in and dropped a cutesy comment which read, "You look great! intermittent is a powerful anti inflammatory and recovery tool 😏 .. and yea, it was so nice to see Mom’s famous KC celebration! So special!!"

Meanwhile, Sonam and Anand are currently enjoying a new phase of their lives as the couple welcomed their baby boy Vayu on August 20.

On the work front, Sonam will next be seen in the film 'Blind', which also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey in supporting roles. The film is a remake of the same-named Korean film of 2011. The actors finished filming in February 2021. It is directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh.
