Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor have now become proud parents to a baby girl.

Alia was admitted to the HN Reliance hospital in Mumbai on Sunday morning, at around 7:30 am.

She was accompanied by Ranbir. Her mother Soni Razdan and mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor were also by her side.

A source informed The Free Press Journal that Alia delivered a healthy baby girl on Sunday noon at around 12:05 pm.

Alia took to her Instagram handle to announce the birth of her baby girl with a sketch of a lion, lioness and their cub. She wrote, "And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here..and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed as PARENTS!!!! Love love love, Alia and Ranbir."

It was in June this year that the 'Darlings' actress had surprised her fans by announcing her pregnancy with a cute picture from one of her ultrasound sessions.

Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April this year in an intimate ceremony, with only their close friends and family members in attendance.

The couple got married in the balcony of Ranbir's home, and the reason behind it that Alia had stated was that the two have spent their most special moments during their five-year-long relationship in the very same balcony, and they wanted to seal the deal at the same spot.

On the work front, Alia and Ranbir starred in a film together as leads for the first time with 'Brahmastra', which released in September this year. The film went on to shatter several records at the box office, not only in India but also overseas.

'Brahmastra' is also extremely special for the couple as that is the project where they met and fell in love.

Heartiest congratulations to the new parents in B-Town!
