Tech Mahindra appoints Infosys President Mohit Joshi as CEO designate
Mohit will take over as MD & CEO when CP Gurnani retires on December 19, 2023.
Mumbai: Tech Mahindra on Saturday appointed Mohit Joshi as the CEO designate of the firm. Joshi is currently serving as President of Infosys.

On March 11, in a media statement, Tech Mahindra wrote, "The Board of Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business re-engineering services and solutions, today announced Mohit Joshi as the MD & CEO designate of Tech Mahindra."
They later mentioned that he will take over as MD and CEO when CP Gurnani retires on December 19 later this year.
"He will join Tech Mahindra well before that date to allow for sufficient transition time. Mohit Joshi will join Tech Mahindra from Infosys, where he was the President of the company," the statement read.
Mohit Joshi has over 20 years of experience in the Enterprise technology software and consulting space; he was worked with largest corporations.
Chairperson of Tech Mahindra NRC, TN Manoharan, said, "Mohit's appointment is the successful culmination of a rigorous selection process during which the NRC evaluated a number of internal and external candidates. Mohit's experience with digital transformation, new technologies and large deals will complement Tech Mahindra's strategies and continue to build on the strong growth momentum demonstrated by the company."
Mohit Joshi was President of Infosys
Mohit was employed with Infosys since 2000 and was heading Global Financial Services & Healthcare and the Software businesses, which included Finacle (the banking platform) and the AI / Automation portfolio.
During his tenure there, he also led Sales Operations and Transformation and executive responsibility for all large deals across company. He was also responsible for the company's internal CIO function and the Infosys Knowledge Institute.
"At Infosys, Mohit was head of the Mohit has been a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc since 2020 and is a member of its Risk & Governance and Nomination committees," the Tech Mahindra's statement read.
Infosys, according to an NDTV report, told Bombay Stock Exchange that Mohit will be on leave from March 11 and that his last date with the company will be June 9, 2023.
Other important positions he held
In 2014, the CEO designate had joined the coveted Young Global Leader program at the World Economic Forum in Davos and is also member of Young Presidents Organisation.
He has also held office as Vice Chair of the Economic Growth Board of the Confederation of British Industry.
Before joining Infosys, Mohit worked with ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays in their Corporate and Investment Bank.
