Bus Carrying 'Char Dham Yatra' Devotees To Kedarnath Catches Fire At Guna-Shivpuri Highway; No Casualties Reported; Visuals Surface | FP Photo

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A massive fire broke out at a bus carrying devotees to Kedarnath on Friday evening. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The bus was full of 'Char Dham Yatra' devotees and left from Maharashtra. A short circuit sparked fire when it reached the Guna-Shivpuri four-lane highway.

However, as soon as smoke started coming out of the bus, all the passenger got alert and evacuated the bus on time.

According to information, a total of 60 passengers had left for Kedarnath Yatra from Buldhadha in Maharashtra to Uttarakhand in two buses, carrying 30 passengers each, on May 15. The accident took place in the bus of Maa Gayatri Travels company near Kolaras town.

Fire erupted in one of the buses with 30 passengers inside. Fortunately, all of them, are safe. Only, the the cash and valuables of the passengers had been burnt.

The intensity of the fire can be gauged from the fact that the bus was reduced to a damaged iron skeleton. Visuals show an enraged fire burning the bus to ashes and huge clouds of smoke billowing out. Locals gathered, and Kolaras police were informed.

The fire brigade rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
