  • Indore: New DEMU trains for Chhitorgah and Bhilwada to run nearly empty today

    Indore: The city is going to get two new Diesel-Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) trains for two prominent cities of Rajasthan– Chittorgarh and Bhilwara– from Tuesday. However, as many as eight coaches of both the trains were yet to be reserved. Chittorgarh-Ratlam and Bhilwara-Ratlam DEMU trains are extending up to Mhow. For Chittorgarh and Bhilwara it will be fourth and third train from the city respectively.

  • Indore: AAI asked to prepare detailed plan of `250 cr project

    Indore: Planning department of Airport Authority of India (AAI) would prepare a detailed expansion plan of city airport, addressing all its future requirements. Before giving it a final shape, an estimated Rs 250 crore expansion plan would be presented before Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and subsequently their suggestions would also be incorporated.

  • Indore: City to get additional trains for Chhitorgarh, Bhilwara from next week

    Indore: City is going to get two new diesel-electric multiple unit (DEMU) trains for two prominent cities of Rajasthan– Chittorgarh and Bhilwara– from next week, easing the heavy traffic commuting between these place every day. Following requests by Lok Sabha speaker and local MP, Sumitra Mahajan, general manager of Western Railway, AK Gupta approved the proposal of granting extension to both Chittorgarh-Ratlam and Bhilwara-Ratlam DEMU trains to Mhow on Wednesday.

  • Lok Sabha adjourned sine die

    New Delhi: The monsoon session of the Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Friday. Mahajan said the House in 19 sittings, beginning from July 17, worked for 71 hours. While around 30 hours were wasted due to disruptions and adjournments, the House also sat for around 10 hours 36 minutes extra to complete its business, the Speaker said.
